The Little Warriors Camp aims to introduce the game of basketball and its rules. We offer instruction from the Waunakee HS Boys Basketball staff on a number of core basketball skills and age-appropriate game experiences while encouraging a child’s natural enthusiasm for the sport of basketball.

Weekly instruction will be intent upon improving each child’s understanding of effective movement with & without the basketball, better understanding of offensive & defensive techniques, screening situations, how & when to attack the basket with the dribble… all while being given more space to operate in a 3 on 3 half-court setting. There will be a portion of each day spent on instruction & at least an hour each week of game play. Teams will be assigned weekly to give kids multiple opportunities to meet others and foster their love for the game while learning!! The 3 on 3 sessions are also used as an evaluative tool for the upcoming 2019-20 Badger Developmental League rosters. Waunakee HS coaching staff, alumni & current players will serve as lead instructors and coaches for this camp.

The focus of the TEAM CAMP is to offer instruction and introduce team offensive & defensive concepts to players within our Waunakee Basketball program. The TEAM CAMP is led by members of the Waunakee HS Boys Basketball Staff. The staff uses this camp to evaluate abilities for the 2019-20 Badger Developmental League team selections at the 6-8 grade levels while participating within the offensive/defensive system of the Waunakee Basketball program.

The SKILLS CAMP offers intensive instruction in all areas of offensive skill development (shooting, passing, ball handling, playing in traffic, finishing and interior play). This camp will be led by members of the current Waunakee HS Boys Basketball coaching staff, current WHS players and alumni.
