Boys High School Basketball

This registration is open to 9th-12 grade boys living in the Waunakee Community School District & attending Waunakee High School who have officially been placed on a Varsity, JV1 or JV2 roster for the 2025-26 season. Practice will begin on November 17, 2025, at Waunakee High School. Interested boys should sign up via the school store on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The season will run until February 26, 2026, for subvarsity teams. The season will officially end on March 21, 2026, for all players on the Varsity roster.

Waunakee High School Boys Basketball teams will practice primarily at Waunakee High School. We are a proud member of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division 1 and the Badger Conference - Large School Division. Practice, game, film & team meeting locations and schedules will be added to the calendar for each team. Waunakee High School Boys Basketball teams can be found under the TEAMS tab above. Coaches will use parent contact information to communicate with each member of their teams throughout the season. You can also expect to receive weekly emails from Coach Selk during the season & frequent updates throughout the offseason about opportunities for high school players.

Players are encouraged to communicate directly with their coaches via email or on the HUDL app.

In season, players are expected to be fully committed to Waunakee Boys Basketball and their team. Program standards for attendance, citizenship & character will be very clear to all of our team members and their primary stakeholders.

Waunakee High School Boys Basketball coaches organize a variety of off-season opportunities for players within our program. During the fall (September through early November) and spring (April & May), weekly open gym sessions are held. Summer practices & tournaments are available for all interested 9th-12th grade boys. Waunakee also plays host to an annual summer league on Sunday evenings in the month of June. We respect & encourage multiple sport athletes and do our best to communicate with other sport coaches to avoid conflicts for kids.
